We accept Shichigosan pilgrimages in both October and November. We are trying to serve each group, and we have a reservation system so that we can guide you smoothly. About the Shichigosan celebration
It is a celebration for children aged 3, 5, and 7 years old.
For both males and females, three-year-old boys and girls begin to grow their hair called kamioki, and five-year-old boys wear hakama for the first time, called hakamagi. Older girls are called obitoki, which means that they untie the ropes for infants and use the same obi as adults. I have.
Visiting shrines has been practiced since the Edo period, but it became more popular during the Meiji period. In addition, it is said that "until the age of seven is a child of the gods," but it is said that by visiting the ujigami on the occasion of the child's 7th birthday, he or she can formally join the parishioners. It seems that from that time on, both the Great God and the local community have come to recognize him as a full-fledged personality.
Nationwide, November 15th is the Shichi-go-san celebration, but in Hokkaido, due to the climate, October 15th is the Shichi-go-san celebration, and it is spreading all over Hokkaido.
